Training the Perfect Dogs

As with raising a child, training the perfect dog begins with a puppy’s first few years of life. It is during this important period that you start to develop the best relationship with your pet and when you should establish yourself as the pack leader up front.

Dogs also like structure in their life whether you understand that or not. They also need to be guided and told what to do and what not to do. This is their way of feeling a sense of direction and stability. This is why from the time they are born, puppies seek out boundaries and are eager to learn and look up to their humans.

In the rules of nature, the mother has already set the rules for her puppies. She feeds them when she feels like it, not based on the puppy’s schedule. This teaches the pup at the onset that food has to be hunted or acquired.

This is why establishing yourself as a pack leader is important because  your puppy is an animal, not a human. It is a pack animal that needs leadership and structure to be happy and fulfilled. Exercise and discipline for example are good for them because these fulfill  him as a member of the pack. If you fail to do this, it can result in a misbehaved and worse, aggressive animal you won’t want to be around with.
